Arrival

• Our school day runs from 8:30 AM- 3:40 PM daily. Doors open for students at 8:20 AM. Students in the annex building may be dropped off at the front door on Casper Street and wait in the lobby door area, at 8:20 AM students are allowed into the lobby. Students may be picked up at either buildings main doors. 
• Preschool and Kindergarten students must be signed in by their parent or guardian at the rear door of the Annex Building off Lumley.
• Mr. Rogers assists 1st-5th grades with entry through main building's front door. Students are then walked to their grade's hallway at 8:30 AM.
• Security guard, Mr. Kyles, and Mr. Woods check middle schooler's student backpacks and they may head up at 8:30 AM to their classes. 

Dismissal

• Preschool and Kindergarten parents/guardians must sign out their student at the rear door of the Annex Building off Lumley.
• Bussers report to the gym at 3:30-3:35 PM and wait for their bus number to be called.
• 1st-5th students are dismissed outside the main doors of the main building by their teachers
• middle school students are dismissed outside the main doors of the Annex Building by their teachers.

Mondays through Fridays, the academic day begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 3:40 PM

Power School Parent Portal

• Priest provides resources not only for student success, but also ways to maintain open communication between staff, administration and the Priest Community.
   

• The PowerSchool parent portal provides parents with direct access to student data via the Internet. Using a confidential ID number and password provided by their student's school, parents can create their own PowerSchool account using a web browser or the PowerSchool app and view their child’s data, such as progress reports, attendance records, report cards, transcripts and more. During account creation, parents can create their own unique username and password. The credentials listed on the form from the school will link the student to their parent's account.

  To log on to ParentPortal:

  1. Open the webpage 

  2. Enter Username and Password, click “Log In”

  The first time you login to the PowerSchool app for your phone or tablet, you will be asked to enter the District's unique four digit code: PSNW

Parents meet every month on the third Wednesday at 9:00am to discuss their concerns and suggestions to stay proactive in their child's education and future.

Priest enforces a dress code policy to show respect for our appearance, create cohesion as a community and to embody a sense of equality. All students must comply with the District’s and schools dress code by wearing a uniform every day. All students are expected to exemplify proper grooming standards in a manner that projects an appropriate image for the student, school and District. Exceptions apply during our regular spirit weeks where students may wear 

General requirements

• Shirt: a provided Priest t-shirt or sweatshirt OR a polo shirt in our school colors (blue, yellow, or white)
• Pants: basic solid-color jeans, khakis, slacks, dresses, shorts, or skirts
  • Skirts, dresses and shorts must sit no more than 2" above the knee
• Shoes: closed, non-steel toed shoes of the student's choosing
• Hair: Students may wear their hair in any style they choose
• Headwear: Students may wear headwear if it allows the face to be visible to staff and does not interfere with the line of sight of any student or staff
  • All religious headwear is encouraged and permitted at student and family preference
• Students may wear PPE (masks, gloves) to continue to guard against COVID-19.

Students May Not Wear

• Pants: Jeans with extreme rips, leggings, tights, yoga pants
• Shoes: any open-toed shoe, Crocs, flip flops, sandals, house shoes, steel-toed shoes or boots
• Hoods during the school day 
• Styles of clothes that endanger themselves or other students.
• Bedtime attire such as pajamas, undershirts, or undergarments as outerwear.
• Students’ clothing or tattoos may not display statements or pictures that are related to the use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, or sex, or that promote hate and/or violence or signify gang affiliations. 
• Attire that may be considered weapons, including but not limited to chain belts or wallet chains.
• Jewelry or similar artifacts that are obscene or may cause disruptions to the educational environment.
• Hair rollers or hair curlers.
